Prices from 2021

Family & Children Law Costs 

Family (matrimonial)

We start with Consultation which is £99 for taking your instructions.
(no VAT charged)
Where VAT is Charged will be 20%

This is followed by a fixed fee for divorce which starts from £995 to £1200.00, depending.
on whether its contentious or not.(no VAT charged). This consist of making the application, 
obtaining the decree Nisi and the decree Absolute.

For the Financial Settlement the Firm charges an hourly rate as follows ( no VAT charged)  and who will carry out the work:
• Principal assisted by solicitor
• Principal/Solicitor assisted by a paralegal
All work is supervised/overseen by Principal or a Solicitor

 Principal/Partner: £250, Solicitor: £225, Trainee/Paralegal: £175 for Ancillary Relief or
 financial settlement depending on the level of qualification of the person dealing with the
 case and the complexity of the matter ( no VAT charged)

Disbursements are costs related to your matter that are payable to third parties, for example court fees, 
for a divorce applications are £550 (no VAT charged) and for financial settlement is £255 (no VAT charged)

 We will handle the disbursement process and therefore the fees are paid to us, including Counsels fees 
which are estimated from £450.00 to £1500.00 plus VAT (this also depends on the experience of the advocate) 
for the court hearing. Experts fees if required in your matter starts from approximately £1500 plus VAT

The time scale from initial instructions to a final resolution resolved out of court may take 4-8 weeks. However, if the matter is complex and there was no conciliation and it proceeds to several court hearings, it may take 12-30 weeks. This is just an estimate, and we shall keep you always updated during the matter and court proceedings.

Children Matters

The Firm's hourly rates are and who will carry out the work:
 Principal/Partner: £250, Solicitor: £225, Trainee/Paralegal: £200 & 175,000 ( No VAT Charged). This consist of making the application and seeing the matter to its conclusion.
 
For Children matters, the hourly rate start from £175.00 an hour as we do not fix a fee on matters which may not be clear cut, 
because some may need more work than others.

Disbursements such as court fee for Child Arrangement is £215.00 (No VAT charged)and for barristers from £400 to £1500 plus VAT
per hearing.

Immigration Law Costs

 IMMIGRATION LAW PRICING AND COSTS
Earners and Fees:
1. Principal/Grade A Solicitor £250.00 (no VAT charged)
2. Grade B Solicitor £150.00 (no VAT charged)
3. Grade C Solicitor £120.00(no VAT charged)
4. Paralegal/Trainee Solicitor £100.000 (no VAT Charged)
Where VAT is charged will be 20%

OUR IMMIGRATION LAW DEPARTMENT UNDERTAKE IMMIGRATION, ASYLUM AND NATIONALITY WORK
                                     
1. Naturalisation or Registration as a British Citizen
Typically, this type of work is undertaken as a fixed fee instruction with an average fee starting from  £ 750 for an estimated 5 hours work. Where instructions are not accepted based on a fixed fee arrangement, work will be charged at the relevant fee earners rate. 

Costs: Average cost from £750
(All figures exclude VAT unless specifically stated, where VAT is charged this will be at 20% of the costs).
 
Who will carry out the work?
• Solicitor assisted by a Paralegal/ Trainee
• Principal/Solicitor assisted by a paralegal
• All work is supervised/overseen by Principal or a Solicitor
 
On average, this type of work takes about 10 hours to complete. 
However, the exact number of hours will depend on a number of factors including the following:
a. The ease of availability of supporting documents
b. The quality and quantity of the supporting evidence/documents 
c. Ease of communication with the client and other interested parties in the matter
d. Presence of complicating factors such as past refusals, criminal convictions, adverse immigration history
e. Where documents are required from government departments such as the Home Office, HMRC, NHS etc., the ease of obtaining such documents.
 
The Key Stages in an application to naturalise or to register as a British citizen includes:
• Collecting/collating the relevant documents – this key stage is estimated at an average of 2hrs;
• Assessing the documents – This involves assessing the relevance of available documents, further documents may be requested at his stage, estimated at 1 hour;
• Completing the application form – this stage is estimated at 5-6 hours;
• Drafting the covering letter – estimated at 1 hour;
• Following up where necessary.

 Services that are likely to be included in the quoted fee includes: 
• Taking initial instructions, Advising on relevant laws and requirements of the immigration rules /guidance and specified evidence.
• Assessing and Advising on relevant evidence in support of application
• Advising on obtaining further evidence.
• Assessing on relevance and sufficiency of supporting evidence
• Preparing detailed representations, preparing the necessary application, and submitting same to the relevant department
• Communicating with the Home Office or other relevant government department to progress the application.
• Providing updates on progress to the client
• Advising on outcome of application and next steps to take to progress client’s matter.

The costs quoted here do not include:
• The cost of the initial consultation which is charged at £99.00 to assess the instructions, assess evidence and give initial advice.
• Any Fees associated with the application, either to the Home Office or any other government department for making the application.
• Other expenses associated with the applicable such as Disbursements to barristers, medical or other expert reports or evidence.
• Should the Home Office refuse the application, advice, and assistance in relation to any appeals, reconsideration, or Judicial Review Application.
 We will let you know in good time before additional fees or costs are incurred in your matter.

Costs: Average cost from £1,080 (Costs exclude VAT unless where specifically included in which case VAT will be charged at 20%)

On average, this type of work takes about 9 hours to complete.

3. Indefinite Leave to Remain (including Long Residence)
Typically, this type of work is undertaken as a fixed fee instruction with an average fee starting from £950.00 for an estimated 12 hours work. Where instructions are not accepted based on a fixed fee arrangement, work will be charged at the relevant fee earner’s rate. 

Costs: Average cost from £950
(All figures exclude VAT unless specifically stated, where VAT is charged this will be at 20% of the costs).
 
Who will carry out the work?
• Principal assisted by solicitor
• Principal/Solicitor assisted by a paralegal
• All work is supervised/overseen by Principal or a Solicitor
 
 On average, this type of work takes about 14 hours to complete. 
However, the exact number of hours will depend on a number of factors including the following:

l. The quality and quantity of the supporting evidence/documents 
m. Ease of communication with the client and other interested parties in the matter
n. Presence of complicating factors such as past refusals, criminal convictions, adverse immigration history

4. Immigration Decision Appeals (excluding Judicial Reviews)
Typically, this type of work is undertaken as a fixed fee instruction with an average fee of £850 for an estimated 12 hours work. Where instructions are not accepted based on a fixed fee arrangement, work will be charged at the relevant fee earner’s rate. 

Costs: Average cost from £850.00
(All figures exclude VAT unless specifically stated, where VAT is charged this will be at 20% of the costs).
 
Who will carry out the work?
• Principal assisted by solicitor
• Principal/Solicitor assisted by a paralegal
• All work is supervised/overseen by Principal or a Solicitor
 
 On average, this type of work takes about 14 hours to complete.
